Terms of Trade

The terms of payment are strictly COD. An itemised account of all charges, costs and disbursements will be provided on the invoice. Accounts overdue by 30 days incur a 5% administration fee. If we incur any costs of collection, such as legal fees and collection agency fees etc., you agree to indemnify us for all such costs. Terms of trade must be agreed to prior to commencement of sales transactions.

Privacy Policy

Employees of Advanced Computer Fix are expected at all times to adhere to the current privacy act

Customers data

Employees are required to ensure that any customer data is kept confidential and secure.

The customer must be informed of any data that is being kept on their behalf along with a timeframe for disposal and any associated charges. Any backup data is stored for a minimum period of 30 days after which it is scheduled for deletion.

Any data collected in any form by employees, is the property of Advanced Computer Fix and must be surrendered upon termination.

Where the customer is aware and the job requires it data may be backed up onto hard disk or memory stick.  The customer must be made aware of the risks associated with both methods.  Where the customer refuses the risks the data must be backed up onto the archive server VMHOST7.  This is a redundant server offering the highest level of security and backup.

Customer Passwords

If a customer requests a password the only option is they pay for us to attend site to ensure the security of the account.  Under no circumstances will passwords be given out over the phone.  Passwords will be reset and the customer advised to change the password immediately.

Where a password is required to be noted for a job it is to be recorded in handwriting on the job sheet and handed to the customer on completion of the job. No electronic record of user passwords is to be kept.

If a password is to be given out the privacy act should be referred to establish the person’s identity and a record must be kept on the job file.

Client Data

All data collected on a customer (name, address, phone, email etc) belongs to Advanced Computer Fix and will be maintained in such a manner as is required to comply with the privacy act.

Where backups of Client data have been make they will be stored in such a manner as to comply with the privacy act. Standard procedure is to store backups for 30 days before scheduling for deletion. Data backups will be labeled with the job details and job date.
